A leading cloud provider faced consistent delays deploying new data centers across key Southeast Asian markets, including Indonesia and Vietnam. Complex local import regulations, fragmented customs processes, and inconsistent duty classifications for high-value IT hardware were causing significant project timeline overruns.
We served as the Importer of Record (IOR) for all data center equipment shipments into both countries. Our team performed pre-shipment classification and valuation of all IT hardware, ensuring accurate duty application and accelerated customs clearance. We also managed essential local certifications (e.g., Postel in Indonesia, VNTA in Vietnam) as part of our Tech-Specific Value-Added Services — the same IOR/EOR framework we apply across the broader Southeast Asia corridor, including Singapore data center compliance, where IMDA approvals and Strategic Goods Controls add additional layers for cloud providers expanding their regional infrastructure.
